Urban Design Lab begins new research project: Development of Small-scale Building Energy Rating Algorithms

KAIST Urban Design Lab(Led by Prof. YoungKim) begins development of small-scale building energy rating algorithms.  This research aims to build an algorithm that utilizes publicly available information about buildings to produce low-cost energy assessment ratings. The algorithm utilizes information such as the gross floor area, floor area ratio, use, and materials of a building, as well as publicly available information such as the shape of the building and the energy use of the building. 

카이스트 도시설계연구실에서 소규모 건축물 에너지 등급 평가 알고리즘 개발을 시작합니다. 건축물에관해 공개된 정보를 활용하여 저비용으로 에너지 평가 등급을 산출하는 알고리즘을 구축하는 연구입니다. 건축물의 연면적, 건폐율, 용도, 재료 등의 정보와 건축물의 형태 그리고 건축물 에너지 사용량 등의 공개된 정보를
활용합니다.
