Eight new research projects launched in September 2025

The Future Space Lab (Prof. Seung Hyun Cha, KAIST Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering) has started eight new research projects in 2025:

  • AI-Based Responsive-Transformative Spatial Technology for Future Space Innovation
  • Development of a Senior-Friendly Speech-Based 3D Object Manipulation VR Interface Utilizing Large Language Models (LLM을 활용한 고령 친화형 음성 기반 3D 객체 조작 VR 인터페이스 개발)
  • Analyzing the Interaction Sequences of XR-Based Memory Visualization Interfaces to Enhance Autobiographical Continuity and Co-presence
  • Sector-level Spatial Segmentation and Multimodal Sensor Fusion for Complex Human Activity Recognition in Residential Environments
  • LoRA-Adapted Large Language Model-based Occupant-Attribute-Aware Spatial Behavior Data Generation (LoRA
  • A Proposal for an Algorithm-Based Virtual–Physical Space-Integrated Architectural Design Optimization Process
  • A Framework for Evaluating Exhibition Space Design through the Quantification of Human–Space Interaction
  • Research on Human-Centered Space Design through Responsive Spatial Content
