On September 2–5, 2026, Prof. Hwasoo Yeo (AI x Mobility Lab, KAIST Smart City Research Center) visited Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, at the invitation of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS). On September 3 he spoke at the international conference "Railway as a Strategic Backbone for Mobility Transformation," jointly organized by the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) and KAS, sharing Korea's experience in railway policy, operations, and maintenance and discussing global trends in smart railway technologies.
He also took part in an advisory discussion on Ho Chi Minh City's ongoing urban rail network development, exchanging policy recommendations with local stakeholders.
